[DEMAND LAYER] Shopify SEO & GEO Agency

Marketing

Discovery, demand, and lifecycle — engineered into the system.

The demand layer is what makes the system findable, repeatable, and measurable. We build it as part of the storefront, not as a marketing department's afterthought — schema and structured data at the catalogue layer, generative product copy grounded in the brand's own specs, lifecycle mail on a cadence that respects a fourteen-week lead time, and attribution that separates trade revenue from retail. The result is a storefront that earns demand on its own and reports honestly on where the demand came from.

N°01The layer

What ships in this layer.

7 surfaces, all built as part of the same system. None of them ship alone — they are the parts that make this layer work inside the whole.

  1. 01TECHNICAL SEO

    Schema · canonicals · sitemaps · hreflang

JSON-LD Product · Offer · Breadcrumb on every PDP, canonical hygiene across variants and facets, sitemaps split by entity, hreflang wired through Shopify Markets. The SEO work that lives in the storefront, not in a meta-tag plugin.

  2. 02GEO · AI SEARCH

    Generative Engine Optimization

Content structured so ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude surface the brand when a buyer asks an open question. Provenance, spec depth, and Q&A blocks written to be cited, not just crawled.

  3. 03LLM CONTENT

Generative product copy · knowledge base

Product descriptions and spec blocks generated at catalogue scale, grounded in the brand's actual spec sheets and provenance. A knowledge base the AI layer reads from on the inside and that GEO surfaces on the outside.

  4. 04SEM

Paid acquisition · scripts · audience targeting

Google and Meta acquisition tied to the same attribution backbone as organic. Ads scripts for bid management on freight-heavy SKUs. Audience signals built from CRM data, not platform pixels.

  5. 05MAIL · LIFECYCLE

Klaviyo flows on a fourteen-week cadence

Sample-to-purchase nurture, trade vs DTC segmentation, fabrication and freight checkpoints — flows written to respect the real lead time of a material purchase, not retail's two-week assumption.

  6. 06CONTENT DEPTH

    PDP-as-asset · spec sheets · provenance

Authority built where buyers actually search — the product page. Spec blocks, provenance stories, install detail, pattern guides. Depth earns links naturally; the blog stays optional.

  7. 07ATTRIBUTION

    Markets · Conversion API · GMC · GA4

Shopify Markets for cross-border. Google Merchant Center fixed for min-buy products. Conversion API instead of pixel-only. Reports that split trade revenue from retail and credit demand to the layer that earned it.

Why this layer is part of the build.

growth system that ships without a demand layer is a beautiful storefront no one finds. Material brands cannot rely on the same SEO playbook a fast-fashion store runs — buyers ask longer-tail questions, take longer to convert, and increasingly ask an LLM before they ask Google. We build the demand layer because discoverability is now a function of structured data, generative content depth, and machine-readable provenance — not of keywords stuffed into a blog post.

WHAT WE ARE NOT

We do not take this layer as a retrofit on a storefront we did not build. If that is the work, the right call is an agency. We build the system the layer lives inside.

Schema and structured data emitted from the storefront layer, not from a plugin. GEO and content blocks generated with Anthropic Claude, grounded in the brand's spec sheets via the AI layer's RAG index. SEM scripts managed from a single bid-control surface; audience segments built from first-party data through n8n into Google and Meta. Klaviyo for lifecycle, wired to the operations layer so a fabrication stage transition becomes a customer email automatically. Attribution stack: Markets for geo, Conversion API for events, GMC for product feed, GA4 for the report.

[N°05] Common questions

The questions this layer answers.

How the marketing layer behaves in production — the trade-offs we have already taken and the ones we re-open per build.

  1. Do you place paid media?

We build the surfaces paid media plugs into — GMC feed, conversion event layer, attribution wiring, landing-page system. We work alongside the brand's media partner; we only place media ourselves when the brand has no partner.

  2. Why is GMC feed health a marketing problem?

Google enforces a minimum-buy threshold on material catalogues, and a single malformed variant can take an entire shopping campaign offline. The feed is shipping infrastructure for paid; it is not a side concern.

  3. What does the GEO surface do?

Generative-engine optimization — structured content, FAQ schema, retrievable answers — so that ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews cite the brand instead of routing around it.

  4. Do you write content?

We build the technical and structured side — schema, sitemap, indexability, GEO. Editorial copy is co-authored with the brand because the voice has to be theirs.

N°06Next step

You want this layer? You want the whole system.

We do not take this layer as a one-off. We build from zero and grow with the brand. Every engagement begins with a paid discovery — fit before contract.
